Reading Task Cards

Do you want to get your students more involved in their reading?

Then this set of 30 reading task cards and writing booklet is for you! Use our task cards with fiction books to have your students reflect on reading and develop inference skills. Students can refer to the "Helpful Expressions and Vocabulary" sheet to develop their ideas, vary vocabulary and get fully involved in the response process.

Students will have to analyze the characters, the vocabulary and parts of the story. They will also get to draw the setting and different scenes or actions. The tasks are varied to keep students motivated and interested. The task cards can be completed alone, but they can also be used to trigger discussion in reading circles or after reading a story with the whole group.
