ESL Interaction Travel Project for grade 1 and 2
An interactive student centered project based learning travel unit focused on planning a dream vacation for English second language learners.
Students will learn travel vocabulary, interact with their peers and teacher, and use their learning strategies. They will plan their destination, their transportation, their luggage, their sleeping arrangements, and their activities. This unit is pre-planed for a beach vacation, but can be used for any vacation that the class chooses.
This is a low technology unit with printable pdf documents, all black and white, that can easily be used by supply teachers if need be.
This unit includes a total of 27 pages:
- student work pages
- lesson plans for 4 class blocks (3-4 hours)

- teaching aids

You need a story book about vacations and/or travel. A list of ideas are included in the documents.
